Can I go without a partner?

Yes: most group classes rotate partners, so you dance with everyone in the room.

Clothes you can move in and shoes with a smooth sole; dance shoes can wait.

Do I need to book in advance?

For a trial class usually yes, so check the school's site or ask before you go.
